Course Saturday, December 4, 2010 Cours du Samedi

We finished the lesson No. 1 "BAR ITALIA" revising some rules on the supplies and tense. Then Maria asked us to try to translate some jokes (Barzellette) French to Italian without much success! We also began the lesson No. 2 by making a list of pros and cons of living alone or in pairs.

This list is complete for next class.

Warning Maria can not ensure the next course of Saturday, December 11. Séverine should contact us this week if she is able to provide this course.

COMPOUND PAST :

transitive verbs are combined with the auxiliary "PROVES" whereas with intransitive verbs must use the auxiliary "ESSERE".

The same verb can be combined with either "proven" or with "ESSERE", as it is used transitively or not
Examples: Ho finito di
leggere libro it (I finished reading my book) vacanze sono finite
The (The holidays are over)

The use of the auxiliary "ESSERE" always entails the agreement of past participle with the subject.
Examples:
Maria e USCIT has . (Maria is out)
Eric Christine e sono i USCIT . (Eric and Christine came out)

As for French, with the auxiliary "proven", there is no agreement unless the direct object is placed in front.
Example: I libri, li ho comprat i ieri. ( The books I bought yesterday)

Our homework for December 18!

- Writing a joke quite short and simple Italian or French.
- Read Lesson No. 2 (Pages 14 to 19)

Film "Under the Celio Blue" (2009) by Edward Winspeare

X in the Italian Language Week Worldwide

Film

Celio Blue is a small nursery in the heart Rome and a great model for the education of the youngest and dialogue between cultures. The film is about the energy and passion of a group of teachers who are struggling for survival in today. Celio Blue was founded in 1990 by a group of volunteers as a multicultural school that welcomes foreign children with a small group of Italian children. Celio Blue Masters of training and age have very different. In addition to being more than half of males (except, perhaps, only in Italy), they are convinced that with the children in addition to theories, what really counts is doing. This is why the masters of the Celio Blue bother to bring out their dreams, memories, fantasies and experiences related to their life experience so that children can share them with others. Without forcing, all means are good, even the classics like the design, modeling, game ... Others are more original, like to participate in turn the parents of every child to a school day. On that occasion, a father or a mother share with all the comrades of their child something that is tied to the country of provenance: a traditional tale, an adventurous episode of his childhood or even carry a toy around which you build a story ...

Film "My Brother is an Only Child" (2006) by Daniele Luchetti

X in the Italian Language Week World

Film

Set among Latina, Roma and Torino at the turn of the '60s and '70 'is the story of two brothers dominated by a strange way of loving: a slapping, pushing, punching. Accio and Manrico are different in all: one communist and one fascist, one moderately and the other end, one closed in the cocoon of an ideology that prevents him from seeing the world as it is, the more willing to soften its vision of world in favor of a total vitality. What makes them neighbors is a kind of 'energy' that leads them to fight against each other, an energy called youth, should to exist, to be considered, to be loved. The two brothers grew up in eternal conflict, they will recognize similar only in the end, just when they realize they are deeply and forever different from each other. And while you lose here you find, irreconcilable, and yet, for the first time, really brothers.
